Account

Open the app and tap "Sign Up." Enter a username (3-20 characters, letters, numbers, and underscores), a valid email address, and a password (at least 8 characters with at least one letter and one number). You'll receive a 6-digit verification code via email to confirm your account.
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and enter the email address associated with your account. You'll receive a 6-character reset code that's valid for 1 hour. Enter the code and set a new password.
Yes. Go to Settings and update your email. After changing it, you'll need to verify the new email address with a new verification code before you can continue using the app.
Go to Settings and look for the "Delete Account" option. This action is permanent and will remove all your data, including meals, plans, grocery lists, and friend connections. You can also export your data first before deleting your account.

Meal Planning

In the Planner tab, tap an empty meal slot (Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner) for any day. You can pick a meal from your saved library, create a new one, or use quick add. For snacks, tap the "+" in the snacks area — you can add up to 10 snacks per day.
Templates let you save a week's meal plan and reuse it later. Once you've planned a week you like, open the menu and tap "Save as Template." To apply a saved template, use "Load Template" from the same menu. The template will fill your selected week with those meals.
Yes. When you add a meal to your planner, you can set a different serving size. The ingredient amounts will automatically scale to match. You can also edit the serving size after the meal is planned by tapping on the meal.
Tap the play icon in the Planner header. Select which meals to prep, review the combined ingredient checklist, then follow step-by-step cooking instructions. The app reads each step aloud, detects time references to offer countdown timers, and keeps your screen awake so you can cook hands-free.

Grocery Lists

Your grocery list is automatically created from the ingredients in your planned meals. Duplicate ingredients are combined (e.g., two recipes needing chicken breast will show the total amount). Items are organized by category for easier shopping.
Yes. In the Groceries tab, you can add individual items that aren't from your meal plan. You can also edit amounts on any item. The app tracks planner-generated amounts separately, so your manual edits are preserved when the list regenerates.

Sharing & Friends

Go to the Friends tab and search for someone by their username. Tap "Add Friend" to send a request. Once they accept, you can share recipes and meal plans with each other.
You can share individual recipes, entire recipe books, and your full weekly meal plan. Friends can save shared recipes to their own library and copy shared meal plans into their planner.

Offline Use

Yes. All your meals, plans, and grocery lists are cached on your device. You can view, edit, and plan meals offline. Changes are automatically synced to the server when your internet connection returns. A banner at the top of the screen shows your sync status.
All changes are saved locally and queued for sync. When you come back online, the app automatically processes the queue and uploads your changes. Items with pending changes show a small indicator so you know what hasn't synced yet.
